OPVA: Phase I
The Ohio Partnership for the Visual Arts

OPVA was established to prepare school personnel to implement district wide visual education programs.

History Phase I (1988-1996)

From 1988 through 1996 the Ohio Partnership for the Visual Arts (OPVA) offered professional development opportunities in three areas:

a) teacher education in comprehensive arts education;

b) curriculum development and implementation to teach the contemporary arts in K 12

c) leadership development to advance comprehensive arts education in our nation's schools.

Through professional development, curriculum design and implementation, and strategic planning, the OPVA has been and remains dedicated to reforming K-12 education in and through the arts.
