Dr. Jennifer Eisenhauer

Dr. Eisenhauer is Assistant Professor of Art Education at The Ohio State University where she teaches courses related to social and cultural issues in art and art education. She received a dual Ph.D. in Art Education and Women's Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. Her current research interests include social and cultural issues in art and art education, feminist zine cultures as pedagogical sites and poststructural theories of pedagogy, language and subjectivity. In her artwork, she explores similar themes through performance, installation and video. She has presented papers at local, national and international venues and is the author of the chapter, "Mythic Figures and Lived Identities: Locating the 'Girl' in Feminist Discourse" in the book, All About the Girl: Culture, Power and Identity forthcoming from Routledge Press in April 2004.
